Dr West was born and raised in Texas. After serving in the U.S. Navy as a dental technician, he completed college at the University of Houston, graduating with a B.S. in Microbiology. After a short stint with the National Institute of Health, he went on to get his dental degree from Georgetown University School of Dentistry.
Dr West completed his internship and residency programs in Prosthodontics at the Veterans Administration Centers in Georgia and Kansas. Dr West received his graduate specialty training in Prosthodontics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr West also served as staff Prosthodontist at the Veterans Administration before entering private practice.
After serving as the Associate Clinical Professor of Graduate Prosthodontics at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, Dr. West truly understands the importance of continued education in the ever changing and advancing world of dentistry.
